Responsibilities

Is expected to perform duties in alignment with the mission and policies of the organization. Performs duties in support of and in compliance with the performance improvement plan, JCAHO and other licensing, accrediting and regulatory agencies. The Biomedical Equipment Tech is responsible for the calibration, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of medical equipment in the facility. Duties also include, but are not limited to: performing daily rounds, filing of work orders, ordering parts, researching equipment history, and performing vendor management, Each task is fully supervised until the lead technician or the manager qualify the technician to perform the task unsupervised. 5 years expierence in the Biomedical Equipment or related field HSD/GED OR 2 years equivalent work experience. Biomedical Equipment Technician or Clinical Engineering Certification preferred Knowledge of Anatomy/Physiology, medical terminology, gas plumbing, mechanical systems, pneumatic systems, and hydraulics a plus. Must be acceptable by Dignity Health insurance.

Qualifications

3 years expierence in the Biomedical Equipment or related field. Biomedical Equipment Technician or Clinical Engineering Certification preferred Knowledge of Anatomy/Physiology, medical terminology, gas plumbing, mechanical systems, pneumatic systems, and hydraulics a plus. Must be acceptable by Dignity Health insurance.
