The purpose of Dignity Health Management Services Organization (Dignity Health MSO) is to build a system-wide integrated physician-centric, full-service management service organization structure. Provides support to Contracting Department by performing a wide variety of administrative tasks. This position demands an exceptionally high level of organizational skills to balance many projects with varying degrees of priority.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Two or more years of college preferred.
Minimum five years’ experience working in a senior level support position. Prior experience working in a health care agency performing general administrative and secretarial duties preferred but not required.
Must have experience working for management level personnel.
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Knowledge of managed care practices and procedures, specifically incontracting language and negotiations. Provider relations or claims processing is preferred.
Ability to effectively interpret and communicate contracting language and rates.
Ability to successfully negotiate provider contracts and single case agreements: negotiations to include contact language and rates.
Must be attentive to detail, accurate, thorough, and persistent in following through to completion of all activities, demonstrating initiative for completing work assignments.
Excellent communication skills; able to read, write, and speak articulately, using established channels of communication and reporting relationships within the organization. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of internal/external staff, management, members, physicians/physician office staff, etc.
Strong problem-solving abilities. Ability to identify issues and problems within administrative processes and other relevant areas.
Must be able to work collaboratively with multiple internal departments as well as external organizations.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications; Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
