The purpose of Dignity Health Management Services Organization (Dignity Health MSO) is to build a system-wide integrated physician-centric, full-service management service organization structure. The Data Analyst is an Information Technology staff person who assists with developing and maintaining Dignity Health Management Services Organization software tools through on-going data analysis. Performs computer-based analysis to support the company’s financial, clinical, and operational projects.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Healthcare Administration, Mathematics Computer Science, Finance or a related field preferred. Associate of Arts degree required, with coursework including, but not limited to, math, physics, accounting, finance, or other quantitative discipline.
One year experience in a business setting using Excel, Access, Access, third party reporting tool such as Crystal Reports, Cognos product, or statistical reporting software such as SPSS and/or experience in relational database management systems such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL. Academic, technical training or related experience may substitute for actual work experience.
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Proficiency with Excel or other spreadsheet software. Experience with Access, SQL, Server Query Analyzer or other relational database software preferred.
Basic understanding of relational database management systems such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or Centura SQLBase highly desirable.
Proficiency with computer programming languages and concepts. Experience with C#, ASP.Net, or other object oriented programming languages preferred.
Must be able to apply mathematical concepts such as advanced algebra and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to a report writing environment. Must be able to solve problems using deductive reasoning where a variety of concrete variables are present in situations with limited standardization.
Must be able to compose documentation as well as interpret instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Willingness to work as part of a team, working collaboratively with others to achieve goals, solve problems, and meet established organizational objectives.
Ability to be reliable in attendance and timeliness to work schedules.
Ability to adhere to dress code, good grooming, and personal hygiene habits.
Ability to maintain knowledge of and conform to company policies and procedures.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
