Join a team of friendly professionals as a PBX (Hospital) Operator in Telecommunications. The PBX Operator is responsible for using computer and telephony systems to quickly and kindly answer and appropriately route incoming calls. The PBX Operator handles and announces life safety code calls using multiple systems including overhead public address and digital paging systems. The incumbent communicates clearly and professional to achieve desired goals.
After a thorough training program, the "PRN" or "On-Call and As Needed" operator typically works a scheduled shift per pay period and covers other schedules as needed (i.e. vacations, call-outs, and/or leaves).
One Year customer service experience including heavy phone service or call center.
Three years customer service experience, preferably in a hospital PBX or high volume call center environment.
Experienced with electronic mail applications.
Prefer MS Office experience.
Intermediate Computer skills and accurate typing skills
Comfortable and clear speaking voice when with making public address announcements.
Effective verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Must be able to multi-task and prioritize during high stress situations (code scenarios).
Experience in the hospital setting
English/Spanish bilingual desired
