Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Pharmacist provides timely, accurate, and complete pharmaceutical care which includes reviewing medication orders, performing appropriate clinical interventions with prescribers, and providing drug information. Demonstrates competency in patient care for patient population served. The incumbent will also effectively maintain control of daily pharmacy operations and supervise personnel.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidates must have a current California pharmacist license

  • At least 1+ year of inpatient hospital experience is desired

  • Demonstrated ability to enforce formulary decisions of the medical staff

  • Maintain accurate and complete records

  • Provide instruction and preceptorship on the subject of pharmacotherapeutics, its use and application

  • Demonstrated knowledge of pharmaco-therapeutics, therapeutic drug monitoring and therapeutic interventions, pharmaceutical supplies, drugs, chemicals and biological

  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations relating to pharmaceutical transactions, pharmacokinetics, supply management and inventory control

Qualifications

Effectively communicate, both written and verbal. Demonstrated knowledge of pharmaco-therapeutics, therapeutic drug monitoring and therapeutic interventions, pharmaceutical supplies, drugs, chemicals and biologicals, federal and state regulations relating to pharmaceutical transactions, pharmacokinetics, supply management and inventory control. Current California pharmacist license.
