Responsibilities

The Nurse Practitioner works in collaboration with the Physician, Clinic Director and other members of the staff to provide clinical and administrative functions for comprehensive patient care. The Nurse Practitioner must be acquainted with policies and procedures directly involved in the standard practices of the administration of the clinic and treatment of the patient.

The Nurse Practitioner acts as a midlevel clinician assessing and providing patient care under the supervision of a licensed physician. The Nurse Practitioner acts as the patient advocate and performs those duties necessary to treat the patient's physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. All activities carried out by the Nurse Practitioner reflects those values espoused in the Dignity Health mission statement and vision.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Five years experience in a family practice and/or internal medicine practice.

  • Bilingual (English-Spanish)

  • Board Certified California License Nurse Practitioner

  • Furnishing Number License

  • ACLS and CPR Certified
