Responsible for planning and administering a comprehensive and balanced fundraising program in support of of the organization's goals. This position will likely have both direct fund-raising and operational and / or program oversight as part of their job portfolio. Responsibilities include:
Oversees the fundraising progress toward individual and team goals and work toward the sucessful attainment of those goals according to the development plan.
Manages a portfolio of prospects and donors to build and maintain a prospect and donor base for the Foundation. Works with prospects and develop their relationship with the organization, ultimately increasing giving.
Sets and implements complex strategic activities/collateral for fundraising. Creates menu of giving opportunities and writes case statements and proposals.
Oversees the management and recuitment of staff, volunteer and support groups, councils, committees and measures their impact on the overall goals of the associatred organization.
- Minimum of five (5) years of not-for-profit fundraising and development experience. Minimum of three (3) years of management experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or a combination of education and/or additional job-related experience may be substituted in lieu of the degree.
Ability to communicate and connect effectively with a diverse audience of donors, potential donors, high-level volunteers and hospital leaders, including physicians and corporate executives.
Skilled public speaker and networker who is comfortable building new ties with both individual and corporate donors, and adept at navigating complex relationships.
Demonstrated experience with recruiting top leadership for volunteer committee positions.
Track record of success in implementing and managing all aspects of both small- and large-scale event production, from creative vision and planning to securing corporate sponsorships, as well as day-of execution and post-event donor stewardship.
Fluent in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as online platforms (website, social media).
Familiarity with Blackbaud CRM helpful.
Knowledge of downtown Los Angeles community a plus.
