PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICER
Northridge Hospital Medical Center
The PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICER conducts an on-going patrol of all hospital areas with special emphasis towards the observation of thefts, fires, hazardous conditions, and vandalism. Conducts investigations of crimes and other incidents and completes Incident Reports. Responds to calls for service and provides escorts for employees, visitors, and patients.
HS diploma/GED required
One (1) year working experience, including a minimum of 6 months hospital security experience, military/police training or equivalent
ASP Tactical Baton training preferred. IAHSS Certification preferred
Valid California Drivers License, current Guard Card, Baton permit and Pepper Spray/Tear Gas permit required. Knowledge of computer programs (Microsoft Office).
Must have a minimum of one year working experience including a minimum of six months hospital security experience, military/police training or equivalent
Must have ASP Tactical Baton training, IAHSS Certification
Decon/HazMat response training, workplace violence intervention training, basic understanding of California Laws
Basic knowledge of using a PC and Microsoft Office applications. Must have valid California Drivers License
California Guard Card, California Baton Permit
California Pepper Spray Permit, AHA CPR/BLS certification, CPI (within 90 days of hire), IAHSS Basic (or higher) Certification (within 6 months of hire or transfer)
