PATIENT TRANSPORTATION DEPT.Northridge Hospital Medical Center
The Patient Transporter performs tasks that are directly involved with the transportation of patients and specimens within the hospital and/or dispatching of transporters for patients to and from all departments as needed in order to provide timely and consistent delivery. Assists nursing with the lifting/moving of patients when necessary to ensure a smooth transport process for the customers. Transports patients in gurneys or wheelchairs in a safe and courteous manner.
HS diploma req'd. Current American Heart Association CPR card
Minimum 6 months recent experience in a medical office, hospital/acute care environment
Must possess superior customer service skills, along with excellent organizational, interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
AHA CPR certification required. LA City Fire Card following hire/must be maintained as a current employee
This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement
