In keeping with the Dignity Health core values, responsible for development and coordination of the Annual Campaigns for St. John's Regional Medical Center and St. John's Pleasant Valley Hospital Foundations (support of special events, develop a corporate sponsorship program, direct mail, employee campaign, community campaigns, and other identified projects). Responsible for networking, building and maintaining successful relationships with volunteers, board members, corporate sponsors, hospital leadership, and current and prospective donors. Develop corporate sponsorship proposals in support of special events and campaigns.
-Three (3) years experience of increasingly responsible fund development positions.
-Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Hospital fund development preferred.
-Bachelor's degree preferred.
Exceptionally strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability in coordinating/supporting committees, volunteers and special events. Demonstrated ability with developing and implementing donor recognition programs. Proficiency in computers. Demonstrate concern and empathy for the spiritual and emotional needs of patients, co-workers and customers. Treat patients, co-workers and customers with courtesy, dignity and respect independent of economic or social status. Demonstrate behaviors necessary to provide a healing environment. Work with others toward a common purpose. Support the teams decision, even though individual views may differ. Reinforce the efforts and goals of the team. Have a positive, can-do attitude and encourage a strong team spirit. Assume and demonstrate an approachable and friendly attitude. Ability to juggle multiple projects and willingness to perform all tasks with professional attention. Makes written and oral reports/recommendations to the VP, Board and Hospital staff concerning assigned duties. May require working outside of normal working hours, such as weekends and holidays when necessary.
