Dignity Health Senior Financial Analyst in Pasadena, California
The purpose of Dignity Health Management Services Organization (Dignity Health MSO) is to build a system-wide integrated physician-centric, full-service management service organization structure. This position will support the Southern California Service Area for DHMSO. Primary office location will be in Pasadena, CA.
Supports Dignity Health MSO Financial department. Work as liaison within the market assigned, providing analytic to drive decision making. Works independently to analyze performance data and metrics to identify trends and root cause for gaps. Creates clean data extracts for data analysts within and outside of the finance team to use for analysis. Communicates complex data/information in an understandable and compelling manner to a variety of end users at many levels of the organization.
PRINCIPLES DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Understands how to present data in a meaningful way and has the ability to pull data from disparate data sources to create meaningful analyses for end users. Reports, extracts, segments, summarizes and analyzes financial data. Creates clear and meaningful graphs, charts and other visualizations. Researches and recommends targets for key metrics and performance indicators using external benchmarks and internal data.
Cleans data and creates metrics based on customer specifications, company or national standards. Independently creates analytical products based on business/financial requirements. Some knowledge in basic statistical analyses or predictive modelling.
Communicates results of financial analyses to customers in a clear and compelling manner, using written, verbal, and other mediums. Collaborates with other team members and customers to understand the operational needs and documentation practices and makes improvement recommendations. Gathers business requirements for financial analytics projects and products with minimal direction and oversight.
Participates in high level projects as a data or analytic subject matter expert. Mentors and advises others in understanding source and meaning of data to create effective analyses.

Experience: Minimum three (3) years of experience working in Healthcare finance, understanding of claims, Capitation, Medicare/Medicaid, FFS, Out of Network and Risk Pool Reporting Experience. Presentation skills, and comfort with communicating with all levels within the organization.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in, Finance / Accounting, Business, Healthcare, or other related field or a combination of education and/or additional job related experience.
Special Skills: Proficiency in Excel, Access, and some data programming software such as SQL, SAS, or R.
