At Dignity Health St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, we deliver humankindness through a wide range of health, social and support services in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona. As part of our team, Assess patient/family health problems and resources, taking a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan for nursing care. Provides professional nursing care and interventions to acutely ill adult patient populations. Position requires providing service to one or more age groups including young adults through geriatric patients in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. Position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the organization. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee will support the organization's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the hospital wide performance improvement plan. You will also provide clinical expertise, support and oversight that helps ensure our patients receive exceptional care. The CTOR Department at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center plays a critical role within the Cardiac Service Line of Excellence supporting it's "Heart & Lung Institute", the only stand-alone lung transplant center in the Nation. With the hours of operation from 6:30 am to 7pm, the CTOR currently has seven surgical suites conducting over 1500 cases a year. The staffing ratio for these cases includes two RN circulators, a cardiothoracic scrub technician, and Physician's Assistant. Additional staff includes a clinical monitoring technical and staff perfusion.
Located in Phoenix, AZ, this position is critical to the success of St. Joseph's Hospital Medical Center and requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health.
At least 1 year Operating Room experience a must.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
Basic computer skills.
AZ RN license or RN License from a Compact State.
