Position Summary:

This position regularly performs a variety of complex duties involving review or processing which regularly requires the interpretation and application of specialized technical or program knowledge and exercises a high degree of independence, initiative and originality with little day to day supervision. This position may also perform some secretarial duties as well as work on special projects and/or as lead persons in scheduling, training and assisting less experienced staff in the performance of the departments' work.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Three (3) years of increasingly responsible clerical experience required

  • Requires:

  • Special skills required include knowledge of clinical hospital staffing, hospital organization operations and functions use of computer word processing and database applications

  • Excellent communication skills by telephone in person and in writing

  • Ability to multitask and maintain records and information

  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in a related field preferred

  • Hospital staffing experience preferred
