Position Summary:

The Supervisor Clinical Pharmacy is responsible for the day-to-day clinical operations in various clinic settings within Dignity Health Medical Foundation. Reporting to the Manager of Pharmacy Services, this individual serves as a working supervisor overseeing pharmacists and clinical pharmacy operations. The incumbent provides direction and supervision to clinical pharmacists, participates in direct patient care activities in non-acute clinics, and coordinates services with other healthcare team members as appropriate. The supervisor will work closely with the Manager of Pharmacy Services on initiatives related to clinical pharmacy operations.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4 years progressively responsible experience in clinical pharmacy setting.

  • Current California Pharmacist License in good standing.

  • BS or PharmD from an accredited school of pharmacy.

  • Current knowledge of evidence based clinical pharmacy practice and pharmacotherapies. Most common knowledge of Health Plans such as Medicare, Medical, Blue Shields, Blue Cross, HNET, AETNA, WHA, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior supervisor or management experience in managing a pharmacy or program development.

  • Pharmacy Residency.

  • Clinical knowledge of specialty pharmacy; innovative pharmacy practice; pharmacoeconomics; regulations applicable to Pharmacy, including DEA, Board of Pharmacy, The Joint Commission, etc.
