Under direct supervision the incumbent provides drug information and assists physician in providing appropriate drug therapy for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. The incumbent compounds, prepares, mixes, manufactures and dispenses medicines and preparations. Incumbent also oversees medications prepared by Pharmacy Technicians. This position reports to the Director Pharmacy.
Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited school of pharmacy required
Knowledge of unit dose systems, IV admixture, chemotherapy, clinical pharamcology, pharmacokinetics and drug use evaluation required
Current ACLS and BLS certifications required (must be certified through the American Heart Association)
Postgraduate Year 1 residency preferred
Two (2) years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred
Current PALS and ENLS certifications preferred
