The incumbent performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures under the direction of the cardiologist qualified in diagnostic ultrasound according to department protocol. The incumbent performs echocardiograms including but not limited to: saline contrast studies, transesophageal echocardiograms, and stress echocardiograms.
Associate's of Science degree from an accredited Cardiovascular Technology Program required
Current California RDMS (Registry of Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographers) license required or RDMS eligibility required
Two (2) years of experience performing echocardiograms,including transesophageal and stress, on all patient populations (including infants) in an acute care hospital required
Current BLS certification required (must be certified through the American Heart Association)
- Working knowledge of Syngo Dynamics software preferred
