Responsibilities

The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of radiographic, fluoroscopic and specialized procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision, under the general direction of a radiologist and radiology administration.

Qualifications:

  • Radiologic Technologist II must have a minimum of 2 years relevant experience as a Radiologic Technologist or equivalent.

  • Radiologic Technologist III must have a minimum of 2 years relevant experience as a Radiologic Technologist II or equivalent.

Must have satisfactorily completed formal radiologic technology training in an AMA approved school.

Employees working at the Whipple location: ARRT certification to be obtained at first opportunity but no later than one year from date of hire. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. CRT permit in accordance with California state regulation required. CRT-Mammography required of technologists who perform mammography.

Employees working at the Main Department: ARRT certification to be obtained at first opportunity but no later than one year from date of hire. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. CRT permit in accordance with California state regulation required. Radiological Technologists who perform Fluoroscopy procedures are required to have a Fluoroscopy permit in accordance with California state regulation. Radiologic Technologists who perform Mammography procedures are required to have a Mammography permit in accordance with California State regulation.
