Dignity Health Mercy General Hospital has been serving the Sacramento community for more than 100 years. Founded by the Sisters of Mercy, Mercy General has been at its current site in the heart of East Sacramento since 1925. Mercy General Hospital has 342 licensed beds, a physician staff of more than 800 and is the highest volume cardiac procedure hospital in California. Mercy General is one of six Sacramento area hospitals that are part of Dignity Health, a system of 39 hospitals and medical centers in California, Arizona and Nevada.
The Incumbent is a professional who provides and supervises care to individuals and families. Utilizing a holistic approach, the incumbent provides patient and family care based on the nursing process and consistently provides a safe and confidential environment throughout the delivery of care. As a professional, the incumbent is responsible for providing leadership and maintaining personal professional development.
The incumbent shall demonstrate behaviors consistent with the core (Mercy) values in support with Mercy General Hospital and the Mission and Philosophy of Dignity Health.
2017 through Spring 2018 nursing student graduates ONLY. Applicants must have NO previous RN experience since this is a training program for new grads who have NEVER worked as an RN or IP RN before. Candidates with any previous RN experience will not be considered for this training program.
Candidates must have a CA RN and BLS from the American Heart Association.
Within 6 months of hire, candidates must also have successful completion of the following courses: Basic Cardiac Monitoring, ACLS, Oncology Nursing, and Chemotherapy.
Other certifications may be required.
