Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Provides executive leadership and strategic direction of capacity management, patient logistics, and patient flow operations. Develops, implements, and operates a Central Patient Logistics Center (CPLC) to coordinate all admissions, internal transfers, and discharges, to ensure smooth patient access and patient flow operations. Coordinates the usage and functionality of the TeleTracking and Transfer Center applications with staff, IT, and vendor.

Principal Duties and Accountabilities:

  • Designs, develops, implements, and operates a Central Patient Logistics Center (CPLC) to coordinate all admissions, internal transfers, and discharges, to ensure smooth patient access and patient flow operations

  • Collaborates with leadership teams to promote innovation and drive continuous improvement of capacity management and patient logistics.

  • Coordinates with external service providers (i.e., ITS-Pro Transport 1, Aramark, Optum360, etc.) to ensure compliance with establish contract provisions.

  • Coordinates the usage and functionality of the TeleTracking and Transfer Center applications with staff, IT, and vendor. Creates, updates, and validates all Transfer Center work aids, algorithms, and work processes to ensure accurate response for each type of case.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare related field or combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in management.
