The position is responsible for securing, guarding, protecting property and grounds by patrolling the interior and exterior of the facility via foot, vehicle or other mode of transportation looking for unauthorized persons and unsafe conditions: Work includes guarding property against fire, damage, theft or other hazards, monitoring assigned areas for possible violation of policies, regulations, and rules of conduct; recognizing and reporting unusual, suspicious, or hazardous situations; proving information and assistance, maintain equipment; patrols assigned areas safety rounds, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits.
Minimum of one year of experience as a security officer in a hospital or healthcare facility, or six (6) months of healthcare experience as a security officer, and an additional six (6) months of security experience that equals one year or more of combined security training.
High School Diploma. Completion of IAHSS basic training for Healthcare Security within 90 days of hire; CPR training within 60 days of hire; Must be able to speak English, and communicate clearly both orally and in writing. Current state Driver's license and California guard card.
Minimum of one year of experience as a security officer in a hospital or healthcare facility, or six (6) months of healthcare experience as a security officer, and an additional six (6) months of security experience that equals one year or more of combined security training.
