Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY

Initiate, monitor, administer, educate and document all aspects of respiratory care to include: aerosolized medication, chest physiotherapy, continuous mechanical ventilation, O2 therapy, positive pressure therapy, code blue response, establish and maintain patent airways. Perform routine diagnostic studies to include, but not limited to, PFT's, ABG's, O2SAT, Capnography, venipuncture, glucoscan, EKG's and bronchospies.

REQUIREMENTS

Must have one year experience in an acute care facility or equivalent. Must be a graduate of an accredited respiratory care program or equivalent. Must be computer literate. Required: ACLS (CT CPRACLS) , BASIC LIFE SUPPORT-AHA (CT CPRBLS) , PEDIATRIC ADVANCED LIFE SUPPOR (CT CPRPALS) , RESP CARE PRACTITIONER/CRT (CT RCP).

Qualifications

Must have at least one year experience in an acute care of patients with respiratory disease including ventilator/critical care. Computer literacy a must Must have a Respiratory Care Practitioner licensed by the State of California. Must have a BLS and ACLS certification (AHA-approved). Must have a PALS certification (AHA-approved) within 6 months of hire.
