Dignity Health Revenue Integrity Analyst in SAN FRANCISCO, California

Analyzes daily revenue capture by monitoring and trending gross revenue. Performs department charge audits, assists with charge reconciliation processes, assists departments with billing edit resolutions, tracks problematic claim trends, work with hospital departments to communicate issues and establish resolutions. Reviews denial reports, communicates trends, and provides feedback/education to departments.
Three to five years revenue integrity experience, knowledge of the charge description master required
Associate's Degree or equivalent on the job experience required.
Knowledge of revenue cycle processes including charge capture and coding, and strong understanding of reimbursement methodologies. Ability to work independently, set priorities, and manage work accurately and timely. Willingness to travel to other work settings is essential. Able to handle confidential information. Must have the ability to read and analyze data for specific audience: Excel, SMS, word processing, electronic charts. The ability to extract data from computer programs is essential. Must display sound judgment, tact, discretion, and ability to develop and sustain a cooperative working relationship with all levels of associates and customers. This relationship interacts with Optum 360 staff, hospital department directors and supervisors, outside regulatory agencies, patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers.
Previous experience in coding/billing with knowledge of payer guidelines preferred.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent job related experience preferred.
Strong Excel skills and Access Database skills preferred. Certified Coding Credential preferred.
CPC, CCA, COC or CCS.
