Responsibilities

About This Position

In keeping with French Hospital Medical Center health care philosophy, the ASP RN is an experienced practitioner who demonstrates in-depth knowledge of nursing and patient care and the ability to practice independently. The ASP RN also serves as a resource person as well as a preceptor. Under minimal supervision, the ASP RN identifies and implements nursing interventions for the pre-procedure and post-procedure phases of surgical, pain management and gastrointestinal laboratory patients of all ages.

RN Selection Criteria

Acute Care experience preferred. Graduate of accredited RN program. Basic Arrhythmia Class or within one month of hire passage of test. Cares for adolescent through geriatric population. PALS or PEARS certification required (pre-admit nurse, no PALS required but preferred).
