The Physical Therapist provides assessment and therapy to individuals in the area of functional mobility. Will also provide education to patients, appropriate family members and friends in order to restore patients’ functional independence and reduce or prevent long term disability. Will assist the patients to reach their maximum potential and return to their family and community. Will coordinate with other disciplines and implement the programs of the Physical Therapy Department under the general direction of the Rehabilitation Directors.
- Must be a graduate of an accreditedschoolofPhysical Therapywith a minimum of B.A., B.S., or D.P.T.
Special Training: (including license):
Current and valid physical therapy license, according the laws of the State of California.
CCS paneling for pediatric care, (only if they are treating pediatric patients).
Current BLS certification required.
Experience: (minimum, plus desired):
Minimum of one year of experience as a physical therapist in physical disabilities setting, preferably in acute care or acute rehabilitation.
Knowledge of physical therapy theory, treatment, and evaluation in the areas of neurology is recommended.
