This position is responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision, under the general direction of a radiologist and radiology administration. In accordance with the mission and philosophy of Dignity Health, the Sonographer is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for performing diagnostic testing used in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for patients.
Must have successfully passed the ARDMS Registry for Abdomen or OB/GYN
OR Completion of an ARRT program and successfully obtained a Sonography licensure
RVT experience (preferred)
High school diploma or equivalent
Successful completion from an accredited Sonography school
Associates degree in Science (preferred)
CRT Fluoroscopy (preferred)
Completion of annual safety training
Completes and maintains required unit specific training
Curent Basic Life Support for healthcare providers (CT CPRBLS)
Completion of an ARRT program with current sonography licensure (ARRT)
OR current certificaiton by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasonographers in one of the following areas: Abdomen or OB/GYN (ARDMS)
Must achieve certification in both Abdomen and OB/GYN within one year hire
