Responsibilities

About this position:

The Financial Analyst reports to the PHC Manager of Finance and will assist in the creation and review of budgets, billing reports, reimbursement agreements, and analysis and projections of costs and revenues. Work involves identifying and extracting relevant data from various systems, developing and testing of reports, and the preparation of routine benchmark and productivity reports. Operational responsibilities include training clinic staff on finance policies and creating financial processes, in addition to developing trainees, and working with physicians. Moreover, the Analyst will support the Manager of Finance and assist the PHC staff as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • One (1) year professional level finance experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in analytical or management trade.

  • High degree of computer comfort, specifically with Microsoft suite, as well as hold interest in constantly improving technological skills.

  • Willing to travel to locations on the central coast.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate financial framework and analysis to non-financial staff.

  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving skills and organizational skills.

  • Creative thinker that understands how to move from an idea to application.

  • Highly proactive and eager to learn.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous financial reporting experience is preferred.

  • Previous healthcare finance experience is preferred.

Qualifications
