Overview

Marian Regional Medical Center , located in Santa Maria, CA, is nationally ranked among the top 10% in the nation for safety core measures in Cardiac Services and has the only comprehensive Cancer treatment and resource program from Los Angeles to San Francisco. In April 2012, Marian opened its doors to a brand new state-of-the-art facility which houses the latest technology to support excellent physicians and caregivers who deliver compassionate care each and every day. Marian's new hospital includes 191 beds, expanded and enhanced Emergency Department, Critical Care Unit, NICU and women's services.

Responsibilities

Overview:

In keeping with the Marian Medical Care health care philosophy, and working within a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient-care delivery, the Shift Coordinator leads and promotes the provision of quality patient care.

Selection Criteria:

Five (5) years of progressive clinical experience and at least two (2) years of clinical skills development and/or supervisory experience related to assigned departments and services. Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing preferred. Valid California Registered Nursing License. Current CPR Certification. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and accurately with people, verbally and in writing. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with various publics and cross-functional teams. Ability to achieve results for the organization with and through other people utilizing creative and innovative solutions. Excellent organizational skills. Thorough knowledge of Nursing Practice and Standards as well as ethical and legal requirements. Valid California Registered Nursing License. Current CPR Certification.
