Our Cardiac Systems Application Analyst positions are critical to the success of St. Joseph's Medical Center and require the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health. Cardiac Systems Application Analyst performs application software support, analysis, modification, enhancement, design, installation, training, education and data retrieval of cardiac databases for the purpose of producing cardiac statistics for internal, local, regional, and national reports. Identifies patient populations and transmits abstracted cases to regional, state, national and regulatory registries.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Typing skills of 50 wpm

  • Ability to use computer for Microsoft Word, and graphics

  • Must be able to work under multiple simultaneous deadlines

  • Must have excellent communication skills

  • Must have good public relations skills

  • Good organizational skills

Preferred:

  • A. A. Degree in Computer Science

  • Experience or exposure to cardiology preferred

  • Two to four years preferably in a medical setting

  • Courses in Medical Terminology, PQL, statistics, advanced Microsoft, Access, and Excel usage
