Position Summary:

A Dialysis Clinical Nurse functions independently and consistently in the delivery of dialysis therapy to all types of patients, including those in complex situations with overt and covert needs and/or complications of treatment through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The registered nurse will be responsible to prescribe, delegate and coordinate nursing care. This position requires providing care/service to a critically ill through rehabilitating newborn through geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.



  • Graduate of a RN School of Nursing

  • California RN License

  • Current BLS

  • One year of Dialysis experience is required.

  • Thorough knowledge and skills in the techniques of the nursing care of the dialysis patient as well as critical care patients including expertise in the use of dialysis equipment, resuscitation equipment, and monitoring equipment such as EKG

  • Must also be able to make astute observations of the patient's condition and take immediate action in emergencies

  • Thorough knowledge of nursing principles and procedures

  • Must demonstrate a high proficiency level in the area of Hemodialysis, critical care nursing assessment and intervention


  • One year of critical care nursing experience is preferred

  • One year of acute care experience is preferred.

  • ACLS is preferred.
