Key responsibilities of theis position are to : Greet and assist patients with general questions related to their coverage; and office protocol. Verify and update patient demographics and insurance data on-line. Register new patients as necessary. Collect and accurately post receivables and balance daily deposit. Schedule, cancel, reschedule, and coordinate patient appointment using the IDX system. Collect patient data as required.
At least one-year recent experience in a medical office practice, including business and scheduling functions is preferred. Knowledge of: inusrance and billing, IDX system experience preferred. 10 Key adding machine/calculator. Ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute, pass a clerical and ten key test. Gerneral computerexperience required. Windows based computer operating system. Ability to: Apply good judgment in a variety of confidential and sensitive siturations. Communicate and interact effectively with Internal and external customers. Work independently with minimum supervision, using time wisely. Take instruction and follow establised procedures. Work under conditions that are ever changing with frequesnt interruptions, and flexible hours. Maintain timely, accurate, legible and complete records. Medical terminology preferred, Fundamentals of business communications.
